After working for 12 years in radio broadcast, Jose Álvarez directed the short film VENUS, which obtained several national and international awards in the festivals of Morelia, Rotterdam and Toulouse. His 2016 film THE GAZE OF THE SEA had its world premiere at Guadalajara IFF and also screened at Visions du Réel.
