DOKUFEST LAUNCHES CALL FOR FILMMAKING WORKSHOP
“Kino Kabaret” is now accepting applications for the fifth edition of its filmmaking workshop
DokuFest has launched the call for applications for this year’s “Kino Prizren – Kino Kabaret,” which will mark the fifth year the “Kino” program is organized within the festival. This year’s edition will be held from August 8-12 2016.
We encourage applicants of all profiles and backgrounds to apply, including but not limited to: directors, screenwriters, camera operators, actors, sound and light engineers, video editors, musicians make-up artists, costume designers and film enthusiasts.
The selected participants will be invited to Prizren for this year’s edition of the festival, during which time they will assemble their film crews to write, film, edit and screen their films. The completed films will be shown during this year’s edition of DokuFest.
The application deadline is July 15th, and the participation fee is 50 euro.
DokuFest became part of the Kino movement in 2011. In the spirit of the global “Kino” movement, the participants will produce films with no budget and with a time constraint, fueled by their passion and experiences.
Just last year, DokuFest hit a record of 60,000 local and international visitors. It is one of the most highly regarded documentary film festivals in the region. Although the main goal of the festival is to increase the appreciation for and viewership of documentary and short films, DokuFest also aims to foster debates and increase awareness for key social issues – last year’s theme was “Migration” and the festival slate featured documentaries, panels and workshops dealing with the issue.
